Job Overview
Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Location: Highpoint Health – Riverview with Ascension Saint Thomas, Carthage, TN
Employment type: Full-time
Schedule: Days (6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.)
Compensation: Base pay plus a $10,000 commitment incentive bonus
How You'll Contribute
Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer.
Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
Responds to codes and emergent calls; participates as a member of the core team and rapid response team, establishing natural and artificial airways including oral endotracheal intubations or other respiratory-related issues.

Qualifications
Certified Respiratory Care Therapist.
Valid and current Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care license.
BLS (Basic Life Support) required within one month of hire; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) within six months; PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within six months.
Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
