Senior Roadway Inspector
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Roadway Inspector to conduct inspections for our growing highway construction workload. This position will work out of our Jacksonville, FL office.
Responsibilities
Perform highly complex technical assignments such as in‑field surveying, construction layout, and engineering computations.
Inspect construction work and conduct field tests.
Coordinate and manage lower‑level inspectors.
Work under general supervision of the Project Administrator.
Qualifications Education
High school diploma or better.
Experience
10 years of experience in roadway or bridge construction inspection.
2 years of experience in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, excluding Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures, or a Civil Engineering degree and 1 year of road & bridge CEI experience with the ability to earn additional required certifications within 1 year.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
Must be capable of walking in steep varying terrain in all climate conditions.
Must be able to drive.
