Position Information Title: Administrative Assistant II Classification: FLSA Non-Exempt FTE: 1.00 Employment type: Contract (Full Time)
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of office practices and procedures
Ability to use discretion with confidential information
Independent judgement and ability to work under limited supervision
Supervisory skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Job Summary This is the lead administrative support position for the Southwest District of UGA Cooperative Extension. It performs administrative and support duties with wide latitude for exercising discretion and judgement. Serves as office manager, interprets written policies, and explains them to others. Often deals with highly confidential issues and uses discretion effectively.
Duties / Responsibilities
Performs administrative and support duties with wide latitude for exercising discretion and judgment.
Employee hiring and termination process, employee contracts, serious incident reports, promotion process, annual performance reviews on all employees, keeping all matters confidential. (50%)
Assists administrators with programs using full educational program knowledge. (25%)
Create and maintain databases; writes, edits, and coordinates reports and other related duties as assigned by District Extension Director. (25%)

Position of Trust Yes. Operates, accesses, or controls financial resources. Does not require a P-Card.
Background Investigation Policy Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a background investigation, including a criminal background check, credit check, reference checks, and may require a pre-employment drug test.
