Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, assembly, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems according to project specifications and NFPA codes Select appropriate types and sizes of pipe, fittings, and related materials Inspect work sites to identify potential obstructions and ensure structural integrity Cut, thread, and fabricate pipes as required for system installation Connect pipes using threaded, grooved, or cemented joints Secure pipes to structures using brackets, clamps, and hangers Test installed systems for leaks and proper operation by increasing system pressure and monitoring gauges Collaborate with team members and coordinate with other trades on job sites Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry standards and best practices Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience One to three months of related experience or training preferred, but not required Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and construction documents Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding of fractions and decimals Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license preferred Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly (occasionally up to 100 pounds) Willingness to work in various environments, including wet or humid conditions, heights, and outdoor weather Compensation
$20/hr and up
