Install HVAC systems including heat pumps, gas furnaces, air conditioners, ductless units, and rooftop equipment. Lead system change‑outs, tenant improvements, and new construction installations. Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications for precise, code‑compliant installations. Coordinate on‑site activities with general contractors, trades, and inspectors to meet deadlines. Write RFIs to clarify installation conflicts or missing design details with project stakeholders. Manage material orders, delivery timing, and on‑site logistics. Direct field crew and apprentices to ensure safety, quality, and daily production. Perform refrigerant piping, electrical connections, ductwork layout, and system start‑ups. Use job‑tracking software such as BuildOps for scheduling, documentation, and completion notes. Uphold jobsite cleanliness, professionalism, and Vanport’s reputation for top‑tier installations. Qualifications:
5+ years of residential and commercial HVAC installation experience. Skilled in duct design, airflow balancing, refrigerant handling, and system commissioning. Strong field leadership and ability to guide crew members and apprentices. Effective communicator with general contractors, inspectors, and office staff. Required Licenses/Certifications:
EPA Section 608 Certification Washington State 06A or 06B Electrical License Washington Gas Piping Installer Certification Valid Washington State Driver’s License
Preferred:
NATE Certification OSHA 10/30 Certification Experience with BuildOps or comparable job‑tracking software
