ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Using CAD models, manufactures fixture and gage details and assembles components to completed functional assembly within allowable tolerances, within expected time frame and within forecast costs. Also expected to make necessary fixture and gage repairs to keep with job running while producing parts that meet the blueprint. Ability to use NC WEDM and VMC machines as well as traditional tool making equipment such as knee-mills and surface grinders to manufacture and repair fixtures and gauges. Ability to use CAM and CAD software
Qualifications / Requirements
Journeyman Apprenticeship Certification High School Diploma or GED Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift A minimum of 12 months experience building aerospace tooling Must supply their own hand tools
NOTE: Employee will have a 180-day period to establish performance in the classification and acquire the necessary tools. If such performance is not established and maintained, the individual will be returned to previous classification
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, for applicants who are not asylees, refugees, lawful permanent residents or U.S. Citizens (i.e., not a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), otherwise known as a U.S. Person), final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
