CNC Machinist Technician/Specialist

We are seeking a skilled/College certified CNC machine setup/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for CNC machine setup/operation, implementing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.

Determine machining steps and operations.

Review CNC Programs using machine software, simulate, analyze tool paths.

Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.

Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.

Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance or product quality.

Review and re-optimize tool paths, speeds, and feeds.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Knowledge of 3D metal printing/DED.

Certified machinist or Operator training.

Familiarity with basic CAD/CAM software tools including Microsoft Office suite.

Positive attitude with an open mind to learning and a teamwork approach to problem solving.

Good communication, discipline and interpersonal skills to interface directly with team.

Excellent mechanical aptitude, with a background in 5 Axis CNC Machining.

Superior understanding of Milling/turning/wire EDM operations.

Experience with quality management system and good manufacturing practices is an advantage.

Fluency in English is mandatory, including ability to read, listen, speak.

Familiarity with Metallography and Metallurgical Knowledge is a Plus.

US Citizenship required due to ITAR Restrictions.

Experience

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes.

Previous 4th axis experience is preferable with DMG MORI/DMU Mills.

Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Familiarity with operating milling machines, press brake machines, and other CNC equipment.

Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements.

Knowledge of Siemens 840d controls is a plus.
