Role description Arcadis is seeking a traveling Construction Field Technician/Laborer. In this role, you will be a member of a field team who works on a variety of environmental construction sites. This position requires extensive travel to job sites, out of the Los Angeles / Irvine, CA office. You will typically be traveling for three to four weeks at a time and then home for a long weekend. This is a great opportunity to join an established team working supporting our mission of Improving Quality of Life.
This role will sit within the larger Global Resilience Business Area. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we’re feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities
Excavation and restoration of remediated properties
Light construction activities including framed construction
Light demolition including jack hammering of concrete
Flat concrete work, painting and landscaping
Heavy labor to include shoveling and carrying materials up to 50 lbs
Installation of fencing and construction materials
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience working on environmental construction sites preferred
Oil and Gas and/or Rail experience preferred
Remedial system install and removal experience preferred
Experience with construction equipment
40-hour HAZWOPER certified

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
