Responsibilities
Interpret and follow blueprints, ensuring accurate execution of deck designs.
Measure and cut materials with precision to meet project specifications.
Install and secure support structures, ensuring stability and safety.
Utilize various tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling deck components.
Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand design preferences and specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during construction, ensuring a high‑quality finished product.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques for continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and training to junior team members when applicable.
Comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the construction process.
Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, concerns, and modifications during the project.
Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality workmanship.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record to operate company vehicles
Previous experience as a Carpenter
Attention to detail
Time management skills
Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
Excellent problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and address issues during construction
Ability to read and take action on blueprints
Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools
Knowledge of building regulations and codes
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of manual labor
Preferred Qualifications
Skilled experience operating heavy duty pick‑up trucks and towing trailers
Experience building high‑class deck and outdoor living projects
