Prepares nutritious meals for inmates as mandated by law. Maintains a sanitary environment with the help of inmate workers under the Cook's supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares food for inmates and staff. Prepares trays to go to inmate populations, according to floor counts. Maintains a sanitary kitchen with the help of inmate workers under the Cook's supervision. Rotates stock and places food orders in correct storage areas. Instructs inmates in proper sanitation of dishes and equipment. Verifies special meals for special diets and prepares them. Informs Food Service Manager of problems involved with kitchen operation. Work Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in quantity food production required. Requires a valid driver's license and adequate insurance as required by County Policy. Must be able to pass a background check.
