Electrical/Low Voltage Apprentice
must demonstrate the ability to follow directions while being highly motivated. The
Electrical/Low Voltage Apprentice
will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. Candidates should keep abreast of industry trends and applicable Government regulations. Responsibilities
Installing and terminating all Low Voltage cabling. Terminating, testing, and labeling end-user devices. Comm room build-out. Utilizing industry standards and company-approved installation methods and techniques. Ensuring all work complies with applicable AHJ codes and industry standards. Pulling fiber through conduit, and man/hand hole systems. Installing conduits in trenches, hand/utility holes, and buildings. Digging, trenching for cabling. Maintaining open communication with direct supervisor to ensure work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations. Qualifications
Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Formal training is preferred. Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge. Experience Requirements: Must be able to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, etc. Ability to read, speak and understand English. Knowledge of safe working practices (e.g., OSHA, Lock Out/Tag Out). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime if necessary. Must be able to climb ladders. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to help crews pull Cat 6 and Fiber Optic cabling. Ability to work in and around confined spaces and follow all related safety operations for assigned tasks. Must possess own transportation, as most locations aren’t accessible with public transportation. About the Employer
