Low Voltage Cable Technicians
in
VOLUSIA County, FL . This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. Career tracks include Apprentice Level/Helper (some construction experience), Technician Level/Experienced, and LEAD Technician. Responsibilities
Install devices such as card readers, door contacts, motion Rex, intercoms, motion detectors, glass breaks, speakers, nurse call lights, push buttons, and patient stations. Install and terminate all low voltage cabling. Terminate, test, and label end-user devices; participate in communications room build-out. Utilize industry standards and company-approved installation methods and techniques. Ensure all work complies with applicable AHJ codes and industry standards. Adhere to plans, specs, and wiring diagrams. Maintain open communication with direct supervisor to ensure work quality, performance, and materials meet schedules and expectations. Follow and maintain proper safety practices. Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent Certification Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge Experience Requirements: 2+ years in a technical role 2+ years in the commercial building construction industry related to: Structured Cabling, Security, Access Control, CCTV, A/V, Paging, Nurse Call, Sound Masking Must have reliable transportation Must have own hand tools Must be willing to travel up to 50% Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds Must be able to work in high places and in confined spaces Work sites vary from finished interiors to new construction; dress appropriately for the environment Work hours may vary by project; some jobs may require weekend shifts Additional Information
