Job Summary Lakeside Renovation & Design is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced remodeling carpenter. The role requires a base knowledge of residential construction and broad experience using industry-standard construction tools and materials. The candidate must manage day-to-day customer expectations, keep a safe and clean job site, and lead a team of 1 to 3 additional carpenters.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
Follow daily communication from Lead Carpenter regarding job specific tasks and instructions.
Complete assigned tasks each day and communicate results to Lead Carpenter.
Construct outdoor living structures with wood framing such as screen rooms, porch overhangs, and decks.
Experience with composite decking and aluminum/composite rail systems (preferred).
Install exterior finish materials such as Boral, James Hardie, vinyl (preferred).
Show willingness to learn and grow in carpentry ability and product installation.
Show willingness to train and supervise laborers and apprentices.
Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by architects and building code requirements (preferred).
Use proper materials and equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe job site.
Additional duties not listed may be assigned.
Requirements
2+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift job site equipment.
Ability to climb a ladder.
Ability to perform heavy labor.
Must pass a drug screen and background check (or have a proper medical card).
Willingness to commute to jobs within the St. Louis Metropolitan area.
