Job Description
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures and perform preventive maintenance while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain dies by welding, machining, hand air grinding, and other shop processes.
Disassemble and assemble dies while performing routine preventive maintenance.
Perform emergency repairs on dies inside the press.
Perform daily activities for improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, Time, and Sustainability.
Work well in a team environment.
Troubleshoot die concerns to identify root cause and implement sound countermeasures.
Work with metric dimensioning.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED.
Minimum of two years of tool and die experience or die maintenance experience.
Completion of a tool-and-die apprenticeship or associate’s degree from a vocational school in Machine Tool Technology.
Must be proficient with machine shop tools (e.g., lathes, mills, surface grinders, etc.).
Must be proficient with TIG welding.
Highly motivated individual with excellent analytical, written, and verbal skills.
Proficient mathematical skills and troubleshooting skills.
Team oriented with good personal skills and the ability to contribute to a safe work environment.
