Job Title: 3D CAD / Inventor Drafter & Designer Duration: Full-time permanent or contract (3 months or more) About Us: We are a manufacturing business located in Thorntown, Indiana, looking for someone skilled with 3D design using Autodesk Inventor, capable of creating detailed 3D assembly models, working drawings, parts, and supporting inventory/drafting tasks. Responsibilities
Create and modify 3D mechanical drawings / models using Autodesk Inventor. Produce detailed drawings for manufacturing (dimensions, tolerances, BOM). Convert sketches or 2D drawings into full 3D assemblies. Collaborate with shop floor / manufacturing to ensure designs are manufacturable. Assist with inventory documentation and possibly updating/creating CAD-based parts lists. Review and adjust designs as needed for fit, function, and manufacturability. Qualifications
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (3D modeling, assemblies, detail drawings). Strong understanding of mechanical drafting standards, dimensioning, tolerances. Some experience with inventory or parts documentation is a plus. Good communication skills; ability to work with production/manufacturing. Reliable, detail oriented, able to meet deadlines. Ability to work on site.
