Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services. Job Description: We are seeking an individual to perform the following in West Virginia and Southern Ohio: Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of equipment and tools to manufacturer’s specifications while using a high degree of independent judgment and diagnostic skills Perform vehicle/equipment inspections and alert appropriate parties on issues that will prohibit their vehicle/equipment from operating in a safe manner or failing inspection Perform DOT inspections Responsible for service documentation Ability to accurately order needed parts from vendors Conduct daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections Work effectively with all internal Divisions, meet with crew members and leads to better understand their concerns and identify issues Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner Follow established procedures to track work and complete forms connected with work assignments Ensure timely completion of work according to company regulations and procedures or instruction from Lead, Supervisor, or Manager Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles and equipment, such as earth moving, tracked, aerial and large trucks Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience Must have or be eligible to obtain a CDL Must be willing to travel within assigned territory Candidate must have their own quality tools Valid driver`s license with safe driving history Strong mechanical and diagnostic background Ability to lift and handle heavy parts Ability to climb on and off of tall equipment and trucks Physical Demands
Work in a shop and field environment on a regular basis utilizing all required PPE Frequent bending, stooping, reaching and lifting Work safely around moving equipment in the shop and field Occasional exposure to outdoor weather extremes Benefits and Company Information
