About The Role As a Maintenance Supervisor at Z Modular you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of plant equipment while leading a team of maintenance technicians. This position requires strong technical expertise, effective leadership skills, and the ability to drive preventive maintenance initiatives that support uptime and production goals.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance, and maintain seamless operational performance. This is an on‑site role located at our facility. This role is perfect for someone who excels in a hands‑on environment, enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical challenges, and thrives when leading and developing a skilled technical team. This role will be reporting in the Austin, TX area.

What You’ll Do

Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians to ensure efficient daily operations.

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery, including mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling equipment.

Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

Enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company standards.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate timely emergency repairs.

Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of required components.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance documentation.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement efforts.

Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.

2+ years of supervisory experience in a maintenance leadership role.

Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems knowledge.

Familiarity with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office.

Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety best practices.

Experience in welding and fabrication (preferred).

Compensation & Benefits Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good‑faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.

Base Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 per year.

Additional compensation may include:

Performance‑based yearly merit increase.

Profit‑sharing bonus opportunities.
