Purpose of the Role As a Press Brake Operator, you’ll play a hands‑on role in shaping the precision metal components that power Tracewell’s advanced technology platforms. You’ll work with a variety of materials and tools to form parts to exact specifications, contributing directly to the quality and performance of our products.
What You’ll Do
Machine Operation & Setup
Independently set up and operate Amada Press Brake machines. Ensure proper tooling, fixturing, and programming based on blueprints and job travelers.
Precision Forming & Inspection
Form parts within tight tolerances (+/- .005”) using aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and copper.
Record inspection measurements using calipers, protractors, and height gauges.
Collaboration & Problem Solving
Interface with programmers, engineers, and team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure quality outcomes.
Documentation & Maintenance
Complete production and quality forms, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Team Contribution
Rotate through different fabrication processes as needed, support inventory and part handling, and contribute to a safe and efficient workspace.
What You Bring
3‑5 years of recent press brake experience (Amada preferred)
Ability to perform single and multiple setups on press brakes
Experience with deburr machines, turret punch presses, shears, and Haegers (a plus)
Ability to read blueprints and use dial/digital calipers and height gauges
Experience forming parts to tight tolerances
Familiarity with aluminum, steel, and stainless steel materials
Strong oral and written communication skills
Detail‑oriented, organized, and analytical mindset
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs without assistance
High School Diploma or equivalent
