HVAC Mechanic – Federal Building, Burlington, VT LB&B Associates is currently hiring a full‑time HVAC Mechanic for the Federal Building in Burlington, VT.

Hourly rate: $41.20 per hour. Health & Welfare Pay: $7.50 per hour (up to 40 hours per week). This full‑time union position offers vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, and a pension plan in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Candidate must be willing to obtain and maintain NATE Certification within six months of employment. After certification, the pay rate increases to $43.26 per hour.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, hot water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, VAV components, and other HVAC equipment and building systems. Applicants will also provide general maintenance support for complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or G.E.D (required).

Universal EPA or CFC certification (required).

Technical training in HVAC (highly desired).

Must possess or be able to obtain N.A.T.E. certification.

Minimum five (5) years of experience on large commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.

Competency in preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC equipment.

General maintenance knowledge of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
