HVAC Mechanic (Maintenance)
LB&B Associates is currently seeking a full‑time HVAC Mechanic in Burlington, VT (Federal Building). Hourly pay rate: $41.20 per hour. Health & Welfare Pay: $7.50 per hour (up to 40 hours per week). This full‑time union position offers vacation, sick leave, paid holidays and a pension plan in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Candidate must be willing to obtain/maintain Nate Certification within six months of employment. HVAC Mechanic (Nate Certified) pay rate is $43.26 per hour.
HVAC Mechanic must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working on large commercial heating and air‑conditioning equipment. They must be competent to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, hot‑water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, VAV components, and other various HVAC equipment and building systems. Candidates must also have general maintenance knowledge regarding the operation and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. Universal EPA or CFC certification is required. Technical training in HVAC is highly desired. Must possess or be able to obtain the N.A.T.E. certification.
