Role Overview:

The Metal Mechanic II will fabricate, build, and install various metal structures and equipment for facility maintenance and installation programs. Responsibilities:

Select appropriate materials based on strength requirements. Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to specified dimensions. Measure and cut according to field measurements. Connect pieces or secure seams by riveting, rolling, or using steel screws. Operate machinery to complete assigned tasks. Coordinate equipment shutdowns and startups with other departments after sheet metal installation. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Work overtime as needed and maintain punctual attendance. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an apprenticeship or a three-year in-company training program. Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of lifting, reaching, and working on scaffolding and overhead structures. Ability to lift more than 50 pounds frequently. Ability to lift one's entire body weight while climbing. Capacity to stand, bend, kneel often, and walk for long periods. Tolerance for temperature fluctuations and dusty/noisy environments. This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to proactively uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
