Lakeside is currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dedicated team. This is a key role responsible for precision welding and assembly of stainless steel products that meet our high‑quality standards and customer specifications.

Position Highlights

Schedule: 4‑day workweek – Monday through Thursday, 10‑hour shifts

Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 am – 3:30 pm

Overtime: As needed, additional hours are available on Fridays

Work Environment: Culture forward, team‑oriented, safety‑first, free coffee, nice lunchroom

Primary Responsibilities

Setup and operate machinery including small mechanical press breaks, small mechanical punch presses, deburring machines, straightener, large shear, cold saw, drill table, hand bender, and spotfacer

Perform first‑piece inspection to ensure parts meet specifications

Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings

Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to company procedures

Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED equivalent plus 1‑3 years related experience

Ability to read blueprints, use a tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in whole numbers, fractions, decimals)

Must successfully pass forklift certification

Physical Demands

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

Ability to stand up to 9 hours a day

Vision requirements: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus

Exposure to electromagnetic fields; EMF may interfere with certain medical implants such as pacemakers
