Job Description ( MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE, SALARY DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSET ) Fitter Job description: Read and interpret engineer drawings to fabricate steel structures following proper procedures and using equipment such as welding machines, grinders, Mag drills, and saws in a safe manner. Reading and interpreting weld symbols is a plus. Must pass a tacking or welding test using GMAW and FCAW in different positions. Prepare materials using flame torch, hand plasma, and other hand tools. Operate overhead cranes, chain hoists, pallet jacks, and pneumatic jacks as needed. Identify materials and their specifications. Inspect work for inconsistencies and label parts for traceability. Basic math skills. English or bilingual speaking is a plus. Follow all quality and safety procedures. Respect co-workers and company policies. Maintain good housekeeping and ensure equipment safety. Work collaboratively with team members including fitters, welders, QC, and supervisors.
