CAD Technician

Poole Fire Protection is looking for a creative, motivated, and team-oriented CAD technician interested in being a part of a fast-paced, high-energy workgroup. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to: Ask questions and clarify requirements Manage time effectively and meet deadlines Openness and enthusiasm to acquire skills in designing and drafting fire protection systems Learn and adapt to company standards, workflows, and new technologies Maintain a problem-solving mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement Bring a team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed Maintain project drawing files and associated files Additional Skills and Experience: Familiarity with Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM) Experience with AutoCAD for 2D drafting and/or REVIT for 3D drafting Ability to prepare accurate technical drawings, layouts, and schematics Knowledge of drawing standards, scales, symbols, and conventions Basic understanding of construction documents, codes, and design practices Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams The position includes minimal travel (0% to 15%). The position will be based out of Olathe, Kansas (Kansas City). Candidates must successfully complete an employment background investigation and drug screening. Compensation based on ability and experience and will consist of a competitive salary along with a compensation and incentive program.
