Heavy Equipment Mechanic
who will have a positive impact on the
Operations
team at its
Thompson, OH
location. As a
Heavy Equipment Mechanic , you will maintain, diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as front-end loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, plant trucks, etc.
Key Accountabilities
Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy‑duty equipment & vehicles
Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment
Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts
Repairing damaged equipment parts
Performing major repair work as needed
Testing and verifying correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management
Completing related paperwork and accessing databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, etc.) accurately and timely
Performing other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or AA in Applied Diesel Technology, preferred.
Knowledge of database software, internet software, & manufacturer software.
Proficient use of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
Product knowledge of gas, diesel, electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
