Utility Worker represented by ATU Local 256 Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement Starting pay: $21.51 per hour with progression based on CBA negotiation over a 3-year period Benefits include
Vacation: Accrues at a rate of 5 days per year, increasing up to a maximum of 30 days per year based on years of service and the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Paid Sick Leave: 4.00 hrs monthly for full-time employees; medical, dental & vision after 30 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays Benefits may vary depending on location policy. Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities Report maintenance issues to supervisor Other duties as required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason Physical Requirements
Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces; push and pull objects up to 30 pounds; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
