MG+M The Law Firm – Paralegal (Defense Litigation)
We are hiring experienced Defense Litigation Paralegals to join our Product Liability practice group at our Irvine, California office.
Base Pay Range $65,000 per year – $80,000 per year
Location Irvine, California
Responsibilities
Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
Monitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.
Draft and prepare initial drafts of various pre‑trial, dispositive, and other pleadings.
Review and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case material.
Compose case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partners.
Contemporaneous accounting and submission of personal billable time.
Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in Product Liability Defense litigation is required.
Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience handling California cases is a plus, but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, and/or File & Serve Xpress.
Consistently arrive on time and cover responsibilities when absent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
Follow instructions, complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines.
Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.
