Boundary Zone, Inc. is recruiting for a Land Survey CAD Technician in the Raleigh, NC area. Please read the following job description carefully before applying. Only candidates with interest in/experience with Land Surveying, Land Planning and Civil Engineering, Carlson, AutoCAD Civil3D, will be considered. Responsibilities

In coordination with surveyors, engineers and other designers/technicians, produce drawings and plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Civil Suite. Prepare conceptual plot plans, plats, permit sets, bid documents, drawings, addenda, and other work products as required by the project scope. Provide coordination between various sheets and disciplines of a plan set, ensure neat and legible drafting, maintain line weight control, and possess a working knowledge of current National CAD and Surveying Standards along with local code requirements. Produce CAD drawings including topography, title and tree surveys, coordinate control plans and subdivision plats. Assist in identifying and developing sound solutions for the design of commercial, residential, and land development projects, including preparing plan and profiles for roads and utilities, grading and drainage plans, cut and fill calculations, and calculating flow lines of wastewater and storm sewer gravity systems. Produce various drawings specific to the project, e.g., soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking. Provide design review and quality control reviews of design and drafting components as required. Knowledge of all types of surveying (ALTA Boundary, Topographic, tree and Construction staking). Keep project managers advised of work status, workload issues, issue resolution, and progress related to the work assignment. Maintain project records and perform all other assigned duties. Must be able to stand for extensive periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis. Minimum Education and Experience

High School Diploma Minimum of 4 years of work experience in production drafting of land surveying projects 3 years working knowledge of CAD drafting skills and terminology 3 years field experience in surveying 3 years production drafting Education may be used in lieu of work experience and the willingness to learn Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Planning, Land Surveying or related field Minimum of 8 years progressive work experience in production drafting of land surveying projects Knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics

Motivated self-starter, and team-oriented progressive qualities required Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely with written and verbal communication Ability to work with others effectively on commercial, residential, and land development projects Proficiency in Carlson Drafting. Knowledge of additional CAD software, Civil 3D or Revit is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Capacity to exercise independent judgment and initiative Preparing and presenting information in a clear and concise manner What we offer
