The Repossession Specialist works in conjunction with other company departments engaged in loss mitigation and asset recovery. Employees should possess excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written. Duties may include record research and coordination with internal or external entities for asset recovery. The role requires high accuracy, flexibility, and a positive attitude. The following duties are representative of the tasks performed within this position. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them if similar or related work is assigned: Investigate leads by checking addresses, phone numbers, aliases, and attempting contact. Coordinate with law enforcement, repossession order issuers, and legal entities to ensure compliance and legality. Maintain detailed records of activities, including asset location updates and recovery attempts. Communicate relevant information to transportation teams to minimize liability. Coordinate responsibilities as assigned by the Director. Collaborate with various departments for smooth operations. Provide status updates and address concerns of customers, team members, and management. Handle inquiries and complaints via telephone, directing them appropriately. Perform record-keeping duties and manage filing systems. Verify reports and applications for accuracy and share relevant information. Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of repossession experience preferred. Strong knowledge of repossession laws and regulations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Additional Information
