White Pine County is seeking applicants for the position of Seasonal Part-Time Maintenance/Parks/Golf Course Worker
Purpose This class is a seasonal part-time Maintenance/parks/golf course worker. Employee performs a variety of duties in the care and maintenance of White Pine County fairgrounds/parks/golf course. This position reports directly to the Fairground Host, Public Works Lead Supervisor- Maintenance and the Golf Professional. Responsibilities include cleaning of restrooms, routine maintenance of facilities, grounds and equipment associated with the fairgrounds/parks/golf course.
Minimum Qualifications Posses a valid Nevada Drivers License. One year of landscape/ maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of
The use and minor maintenance of commonly used hand and power landscaping tools and equipment;
Safe work methods and safety regulations pertaining to the work;
Basic record keeping practices;
Basic painting, plumbing, concrete, and carpentry methods, tools and techniques;
Safety procedures to be followed in operation of equipment and in performance of such manual tasks as lifting heavy items;
Ability to
Carry out written and verbal instructions;
Work independently and as part of a crew;
Communicate effectively with County Staff and members of the public;
Work cooperatively with others;
Operate assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner;
Utilize cleaning and maintenance chemicals in a safe manner;
Use grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, edger’s, weed-eater’s and rototillers to perform grounds maintenance tasks;
Position Hours Seasonal; From 8 – 40 hours/week.
Pay Rate $12.00-$17.00 D.O.E
