Responsibilities
Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as picking tickets to verify accuracy.
Prepare documents such as quality documents, shipping labels, BOLs.
Work with Quality Control to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
Pack, seal, crate and label materials for shipping.
Contact carrier representatives to arrange or provide instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
Compare shipping routes or methods to determine which is the most economical.
Follow safety and quality standards.
Operate forklift.
Warehouse organization and maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
4+ years of shipping/receiving experience
4+ years of inventory management experience
High school level Math & English literacy
Excellent work ethic
Punctual & dependable
Ability to lift 60lbs regularly
Ability to remain on feet for long periods
Computer literacy
Accurate recordkeeping and attention to detail
Knowledge of OSHA standards
