Common House
is a gathering space that cultivates community through unique programming, thoughtful design, and diverse style of dining. Today, we have Houses in Richmond’s Arts District and Chattanooga’s Southside, in addition to our flagship location on Charlottesville’s historic Downtown Mall. As we continue to expand to mid-sized cities throughout the country, we’re building a family of professionals, dedicated to sharing our vision of comfort and community.

Position Summary:
Line cooks assist with food preparation, follow recipes, maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment, and possess a growth mentality. An ideal candidate focuses on service, education, and a positive kitchen culture based on trust and respect. Common House is a
teaching kitchen
. Learning and growth are high priorities amongst our team. Unlike other restaurants, we are a "from-scratch" kitchen that leans into creativity and innovation. The final plates and experiences delivered to our members from our kitchen is one you can be proud of.
Qualifications:
Preferred, but
not required , 1 year experience in a professional kitchen
Interested in sourcing ingredients locally and seasonally
Possesses a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and take direction
Self-motivated, positive demeanor, punctual, strong multitasking skills
