The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at our restaurant. Restaurant Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to guest needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed. Servers should have basic cooking knowledge and precise menu specification and preparation knowledge. General Responsibilities: Prepare tables, restock napkins, refill condiments, and perform other preparation tasks and side work. Stay updated on menu choices, specialties, deviations, and inventory status. Handle reservations, direct guests to tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist with drinks, inform about food prep, and communicate customer needs to the kitchen. Maintain a proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling needs, offering desserts and drinks, clearing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses. Prepare mixed drinks and open and pour wine at the table. Process payments, issue receipts, and return change. Perform cleaning tasks as directed. Fill in for absent staff and assist with special events as needed. Greet guests warmly and promptly, adhere to grooming standards, and communicate restaurant products and services. Have basic cooking skills. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager on duty. Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience:
Previous serving experience required. Must speak and write basic English fluently. Physical Requirements: Ability to speak and hear. Good vision, including ability to identify colors. Frequent walking and standing, possibly over extended distances. Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Manual dexterity and motor skills, including reaching, kneeling, and stooping. Working Conditions: Indoor or outdoor settings depending on the outlet. Varied weather conditions. Potential exposure to moving parts, chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles. Schedule may include evenings, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs.
