The Parts Specialist provides high-level service to retail and installer customers and supports store management in assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Compensation
Compensation Pay Range : $15.50 - $21.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Essential Job Functions
Follow and promote company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.). Greet customers promptly, assist with merchandise selection, and provide excellent service to both retail and professional customers. Assist managers and installer service specialists as needed. Complete required company training related to the position. Answer store phone calls per policy, look up parts, quote prices, and offer related items and the Low-Price Guarantee. Maintain and secure the cash drawer; handle cash, checks, change, and credit card transactions accurately. Process exchanges and returns per policies; resolve customer complaints courteously. Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, stocking, cleaning, and related tasks. Perform daily operational tasks (e.g., returns to the distribution center, stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts). Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and meeting company requirements. Provide in-store services (where allowed by state/local laws) such as wiper installation, battery testing/recharging, trouble code scanning, and headlight replacement. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if business needs require and driving eligibility criteria are met. All other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities
Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; outstanding, friendly, professional customer service; ability to multitask with customers in-store and on the phone. Desired: Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service; ASE certification; multilingual ability (Spanish highly desired).
