Order Picker II at NewAge Industries, Inc.
Job Overview Daily tasks for Order Pickers include filling customer orders, picking products from warehouse shelves and/or pallet racking, packing products, checking items against pick tickets, orders or other documents for accuracy, preparing all products for shipping, and safely operating warehouse equipment. Forklift certification is not required but recommended. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently lifting or carrying objects weighing over 50 lbs, and standing, walking, bending, lifting, and stooping during work hours.
Key Responsibilities
Use computer for advanced picking, look‑ups, bin maintenance, and replenishment.
Perform advanced packing: independent skid creation and fulfillment of respective shipping notes.
Put away inventory with proper date entry using computer systems.
Use moderate technology in warehouse: minor use of MS Office Suite, RFID, and data entry.
Obtain forklift certification (stand‑up).
Review order/pick ticket amendments for accurate information and special instructions.
Highlight all special instructions and information on pick ticket orders.
Identify bin locations on pick ticket/order.
Retrieve correct material and quantity for each order/ticket.
Verify correct product and quantity were pulled for each order/ticket.
Complete order documentation including lot numbers, carton counts, and other applicable information.
Prepare box material for order verification.
Ensure accuracy by having a different order filler or experienced warehouse personnel review the order/ticket.
Package all checked orders/tickets, ensuring packaging stability and protection from damage; seal boxes for shipping.
Label all cartons with correct identification and order information.
Operate forklifts, reach trucks, Taylor Dunn’s, and other warehouse equipment safely.
Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out).
Participate in daily teamwork and collaboration.
Maintain daily housekeeping.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
