Overview Maintenance Assistant

Rate: $16/hr. Shifts: 3rd shift 11pm-7am, Part time; 1st shift 7am-3pm, Full time.
Responsibilities
Maintain the facility’s physical environment and ensure systems and equipment are in proper working order.
Perform routine maintenance and respond to repair requests.
Assist in preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and comfort of residents and staff.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks (painting, flooring, lighting, etc.).
Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents and staff.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Assist with facility upgrades and special projects as needed.
Plow and maintain clear parking lots.
Qualifications
Previous experience in building maintenance or a similar role preferred.
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair techniques.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: N/A
Experience Preferred: experience in cleaning or maintenance position
Licensure/Certification Valid NYS driver’s license
