About The Role

Mountain West Bank is looking for an eager, motivated Loan Assistant II to join our Professional Banking team at our corporate Commercial Department in Coeur d'Alene, ID. The Commercial Loan Assistant II will be responsible for assisting the commercial department in ordering related documents from third party vendors and external institutions for commercial loans. The Assistant helps prepare and maintain customer files, orders and reviews commercial loan documents for the department, creates and maintains necessary reports and assists the Relationship Managers as needed. TheLoan Assistant must be customer focused, have a technical capacity, be thorough and maintain confidentiality at the highest level. This position is located in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Hourly rate DOE $20.85+. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. Responsibilities

Prepare documentation sheet and check off items as they are received to ensure files are completed in a timely manner. Correspond with various institutions and vendors to obtain information such as title commitments, UCC pre-searches and filings, environmental reports, appraisals, flood and tax service; review for accuracy. Order and review loan documents to ensure accuracy (rate, term, vesting, legal descriptions, dates, signatures, etc.). Maintain a tickler system to follow up on covenants as required by loan agreements. Work with Title Company to ensure lien is recorded timely and accurately; obtain final title commitment. Assist with pending items/documentation from customers, institutions and vendors as needed. Track and maintain files (rate and payment changes, automatic payments, online banking, insurance, UCC renewals, financial statements, tax returns, corporate verification of status, inspections, etc.). Follow up with Loan Servicing on file maintenance and required documentation. Participate in Bank-related and community volunteer events. Assist Relationship Managers with marketing and workflow as needed. Monitor loans serviced to ensure required changes are made; liaise with other departments. Refer likely candidates for Bank products and services to the appropriate person for follow-up and sales. Provide clerical assistance as needed (answering phones, taking messages) and assist customers and branch personnel with questions or problems concerning loans. Maintain and balance holdover accounts, manage budgets, and upload accounts payable for the department as assigned. Support department marketing as needed and help complete and maintain reports, forms, and files for adverse action to ensure compliance. Ensure documents comply with lending policies and procedures. Prepare monthly production reports and compile maturing loans and past due reports. Maintain service level expectations as defined by the bank. Perform related duties as assigned and comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and OFAC. About You

Required Education and Experience/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 3 years of clerical experience in a banking environment Fundamental understanding of banking, accounting, legal or related experience Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently Strong written and verbal communication skills to maintain quality customer service Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent customer service experience Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other basic office equipment Preferred Skills and Abilities: TechXpert certification Familiarity with Mountain West Bank systems Work Environment:

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. Physical Demands:

Specific lifting abilities include sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently.
