Position Summary The Assistant Maintenance Manager will assist with the supervision and oversight of the Maintenance shops. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for understanding all aspects of maintenance operations. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will be the primary point of contact for routine maintenance and day-to-day operations. The employee will manage multiple trades, including, but not limited to, electric, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, paint, flooring and other facility related crafts and trades. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will work cohesively with the Facilities Project Manager, Director of Facilities, staff, site principals, management, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure all routine maintenance are carried out successfully and in an at-time manner. The employee must have a general knowledge of all skilled crafts and licensed trades at maintenance, and an aptitude to communicate well with others and capable of creating good working relations with all personnel. Must have experience in organizing work, setting priorities and meeting deadlines for assigned tasks.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma
Associate’s, technical degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of education
Experience:
Five (5) years’ experience managing multiple maintenance skilled crafts, licensed tradecrafts, and personnel at multiple locations
Previous experience working with CMMS Software
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license
Knowledge of general federal, state and local building codes and OSHA codes as related to facility compliance
Knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection)
Proficient or willing to learn Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
Proficient in Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
Ability to lift 100 lbs. or more with assistance
Ability to climb a ladder, work on roofs and at various heights
