Job Description: Follow maintenance schedules and policies to perform routine maintenance on grounds, facilities, and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks. Perform cleaning duties such as window and screen cleaning, replacing burned-out bulbs, and general cleaning as directed. Service heating and cooling systems according to manufacturer instructions and policies. Handle unscheduled maintenance tasks as needed. Requirements: Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday. Effective communication skills in English. Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress. Adequate sight/hearing or prosthetics to function properly. Ability to work independently, flexibly, and effectively with residents and staff. Meet health requirements, including a medical and physical exam. Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, or emotionally upset individuals. Lift and move at least 50 pounds, with assistance for up to 100 pounds. Assist in emergency evacuations if necessary.
