Our brake shoe manufacturing facility in Dallas, TX produces high‑quality brake shoes as well as new brake kits and lined shoes for medium and heavy‑duty truck and bus applications. The business is part of the brake products group of MAT, which is a part of our presence in the commercial vehicle braking segment and complements our existing product offering in our heavy‑duty portfolio.
Job Summary Starting wage is $17.00/hr + $1.25 2nd‑shift premium. Excellent benefits and fast advancement opportunities. 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday. 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 1:30 am Monday – Thursday. Operate electrically powered presses to cut, shape, and form metal components in the re‑manufacture of brake components.
Responsibilities
Position and align parts to be stamped in punch press machine.
Start machine, observe operation, monitor displays, and readjust machine to ensure finished assemblies conform to specifications.
Operate machine manually or from automatic settings.
Disposes of scrap and rejected material in an appropriate manner and according to safety regulations.
Follow established quality procedures.
Comply with all company safety guidelines and procedures.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Competencies
Ability to lift 15‑25 lbs. throughout shift
Manual dexterity
High attention to detail
Diligent use of personal protective equipment
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
