Overview
Join HDR as a Civil Construction Inspector II, supporting infrastructure projects from highways to water treatment facilities. This role ensures quality, safety, and compliance across the life cycle of civil infrastructure. Responsibilities
Conduct field inspections and document observations for civil projects (roads, bridges, pipelines, wastewater facilities). Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules; identify discrepancies or conflicts. Collaborate with field representatives, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance. Provide guidance and mentorship to less‑experienced field staff. Perform additional duties as required. Preferred Qualifications
Technical school or associate degree. Relevant industry certifications. Ability to interpret construction schedules. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience in civil construction inspection or related field. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proven problem‑solving and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Successful completion of drug screening procedures before hire and subject to random and cause testing thereafter. Commitment to HDR employee‑owned culture. Location
