Overview
The Civil Construction Inspector II will work on HDR’s Field Services team, ensuring that civil infrastructure projects – roads, bridges, water and wastewater facilities – are built to the highest quality, safety and trust standards. The role involves field observation, drawing interpretation, and collaboration with project managers and other field staff. Responsibilities
Conduct field observations of construction progress for civil infrastructure projects. Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts within the documents. Collaborate with other field representatives and Project Managers to resolve issues. Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed. Perform other duties as required to support project delivery. Preferred Qualifications
Technical school or Associate degree. Relevant industry certifications. Ability to interpret construction schedules. Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction inspection or related field. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proven problem‑solving and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Successful completion of a drug‑screening procedure prior to hire; subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing thereafter.
