A Server’s primary responsibility is to ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests. You will be the face of the restaurant, interacting directly with customers to take orders, provide menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately. A friendly and professional demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will contribute to the overall success of the establishment. Typical responsibilities include: Welcoming guests warmly and professionally. Assisting in seating guests and providing menus. Getting guests settled with waters, drinks, bread, etc. Communicating specials or promotions. Explaining menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods; asking about food allergies. Taking accurate food and beverage orders and entering them into the POS system. Making recommendations based on guests' preferences and dietary restrictions. Answering questions regarding the menu, including allergies or special requests. Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and complete order delivery. Serving food and beverages efficiently, ensuring accuracy and presentation, with timely service for the entire table. Checking on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and addressing requests or concerns. Refilling drinks, clearing plates, and resetting tables to maintain cleanliness. Providing attentive, personalized service, and anticipating guests' needs. Handling guest complaints professionally and escalating issues to management when necessary. Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth service. Presenting bills and processing payments accurately and swiftly. Communicating effectively with team members to foster a positive environment. Assisting colleagues during busy periods or as needed. Participating in pre-shift meetings and training sessions. Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred. Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Maintaining a positive attitude and enjoyment of the hospitality industry. Working effectively in a fast-paced environment while remaining composed. Exhibiting strong multitasking and time management skills. Paying attention to detail, especially in order-taking and payment processing. Having knowledge of food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and allergies. Possessing basic math skills for handling payments and tips. Being flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Having the physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
