SCHEDULE

Hourly: 4.75 /hrs day

Hours may vary based on program needs

SALARY $16.49 - $17.38/hr (subject to negotiated agreement and work experience)

QUALIFICATIONS Required

High school diploma or equivalent

1-3 years' work-related experience

Preferred

Bilingual

Basic cashiering skills

Knowledge of customer service principles

POSITION SUMMARY The Kitchen Helper is responsible for performing routine kitchen duties, such as the preparation and serving of breakfast and/or lunch to students and staff, dishwashing, general cashiering and cleaning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Preparation of food as directed by head cooks

Set up serving lines

Serve food to students and staff

Keep service area and food dispensers cleaned and stocked

Count/record the quantity of food sold on daily and weekly sheets

Makes short order food as needed (ice cream, malts, pop)

Compiles food and supply orders

Receives money for cash sales in ala-cart line

Assist with cleaning the kitchen, cooking equipment and entire serving area, including washing dishes with power washer

Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL FACTORS

Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions

Light Work: lifting up to 25 pounds and/or exerting up to 20 of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
