Bilingual Student Recruitment and Enrollment Specialist- San Antonio, TX Your Mission:

You are energized by sharing the Compass Rose mission with families in your region. You are the boots on the ground who engage with the community and build connections with our communities so others see Compass Rose as a quality school choice for children and ultimately express interest. You are key in ensuring campuses are 100% enrolled with new and returning students yearly. You do this by utilizing data to design student recruitment strategies, foster local interest, nurture families to submit applications, and engage with the campus leadership team on student persistence and family engagement initiatives. Although your title may say Recruitment and Enrollment, it doesn’t stop there. You ensure families have the resources and experiences with Compass Rose that keep them in our schools for generations to come.

You may work with 1-2 campuses, with targets of 1200 to 2400 applications and a goal of 600-1200 student enrollments.

Bilingual in Spanish

have a High School Diploma or equivalent

experience in any of the following areas: marketing, customer service, sales, education, or specific recruitment work for schools/organizations

have strong written and verbal communication skills

Understand strong customer service

operate with urgency

are willing to work a flexible schedule, such as late hours, weekends, hours over typical school calendar breaks for events, etc

are able to work outdoors for extended periods

are able to work in an environment where you travel throughout a neighborhood, park, large area event, etc

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranging from $45,000-$55,000 based on relevant experience

Your Responsibilities New Student Recruitment and Applicant Engagement

You are successful if you secure applications for Compass Rose through the activities below:

You host weekly enrollment committee calls with the necessary campus and network stakeholders to report on current application and enrollment data and aligned strategies.

Execute in-person home visits, block walking, host tables outside stores, and make cold phone calls to families.

Confidently speak about the Compass Rose Public Schools program model and attend in-classroom observations to effectively speak to families on our program.

Nurture a positive working relationship with local community partners to sustain and expand upon new student recruitment partnerships.

Plan and participate in school-led events to generate applications

Execute student recruitment strategies specifically targeting, but not limited to, students within a 7-mile radius of the campus

Participate in network-wide recruitment events

Execute student enrollment strategies established by you and the Campus Operations Leader, as predetermined by ongoing communication and campus partnerships.

Participate in off-site presentations to daycares, housing authorities, community centers, and other community organizations within a 7-mile radius of the campus.

Attend community events and informational fairs

Promote brand awareness of Compass Rose Public Schools.

Work in partnership with the school to plan and coordinate campus tours

Track applications, communication to applicants, and conversions to enrollment

Monitor quality and completion of applications submitted and resolve issues in a timely manner

Collaborate with other campus staff on recruitment and engagement events to greet and nurture relationships with new families.

Cultivate and engage a solid waitlist after the lottery by providing communication and sustained recruitment efforts.

Follow up with leads within 24 hours to inform prospective families of Compass Rose benefits

Student Enrollment

You drive satisfaction and ensure enrollment completion by providing:

Outreach and technical support to families during the enrollment and re-enrollment process

A single point of contact for families who have applied to Compass Rose Public Schools

Connection between families and schools as it pertains to the new family and returning family experience

First point of contact, should a family express a desire to withdraw from Compass Rose Public Schools

Conducting exit interviews with families to learn aboutthefamily experience and leaver reasons

Serve as the enrollment subject matter expert to families during the enrollment process \ Comply with and maintain all federal, state, and network student registration requirements throughout the enrollment process.

Maintain consistent tracking of applications, enrollment, and registrations to inform strategy on conversions.

Ensure application-to-enrollment conversion ratios are determined and met

Be data-informed in 1:1 check-ins with the manager, team meetings, and strategy meetings to stay on track to meet recruitment and enrollment goals

Review and update data as it pertains to student persistence, new enrollment, and re-enrollment.

Work with the Campus Operations Leader to create engagement plans to leverage Network Staff, Campus Staff, and Parent Volunteers to take on enrollment and recommitment events throughout the school year.

Proficient with the Ascender Online Registration portal to support families in the process of new registration and re-enrollment.

Family Communication, Resources, and Persistence

You are accountable for delivering a superior customer experience by communicating the value, features, and benefits of a Compass Rose Public School.

Respond to new, prospective, and returning families upon outreach to the school

Identify family barriers to enrollment and align them to the appropriate Compass Rose resources.

Remain up to date with overall systems as it pertains to student persistence and returning family recommitment/re-enrollment

In partnership with the Director of Student Recruitment and Lead Family Enrollment Liaison, create communication journeys connected to the conversion process for all new families.

Take part in the school's persistence plans and actions.

Other responsibilities

From time to time, you may cover the receptionist area or be responsible for drop-off, pick-up, or lunch duty. We operate on teamwork here!

Attend weekly team meetings with Network Recruitment and Enrollment Teams

Attend monthly trainings led by network teams
