New Beginnings Lutheran Church is a small, Bible-based Lutheran congregation located in the heart of close-knit rural communities. Our church family is warm, welcoming, and deeply rooted in both faith and tradition. We’re seeking a pastor who feels called to walk alongside us—someone who values relationships, loves preaching the Gospel, and enjoys being part of caring, down-to-earth communities. Position Summary:

The Pastor will serve as the spiritual leader of our congregation, providing faithful preaching, compassionate care, and steady leadership. The role includes not only ministering to the congregation but also becoming a visible and trusted presence in the broader communities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys small-town life, values personal connections, and finds joy in sharing everyday moments of faith with others. Key Responsibilities:

Worship & Preaching Plan and lead worship services and share Christ-centered, biblically grounded sermons.

Administer the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism in accordance with Lutheran teachings.

Pastoral Care Offer spiritual guidance and emotional support to members and neighbors.

Visit those who are homebound, in the hospital, or going through tough times.

Officiate weddings, funerals, and other meaningful life events.

Church Leadership Work closely with the church council and volunteers to guide the church’s ministry and mission.

Support and encourage the work of committees, teachers, and lay leaders.

May need to assist with basic administrative duties, as needed in a small church setting.

Faith Formation Teach confirmation and lead Bible studies or discussion groups.

Encourage lifelong learning and spiritual growth for all ages.

Develop and support youth and family ministry.

Community Engagement Be a visible and approachable presence in the community.

Participate in local events and build relationships with neighbors and fellow churches.

Support outreach and service efforts that reflect God’s love in everyday life.

Qualifications:

Master of Divinity degree preferred; however, we recognize that God anoints hearts and minds for His service

A heart for rural ministry, a love for people, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a small church setting.

Strong communication and relational skills.

Compensation:
