Driver - In Store Sales
Location: Taylor, TX
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is looking for a safety‑focused Truck Driver – In Store Sales Associate. As a driver you will safely and efficiently deliver compressed gas cylinders and other product lines to customers, following a computerized local route. You will load and unload products, provide excellent customer service, answer inquiries, and promote additional sales of hard goods and gases.

Pay Range $28.00 – $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10‑12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
Complete hazardous material shipping order paperwork in accordance with DOT regulations
Conduct and report pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet business goals and customer needs
Continuously build your knowledge of how Linde’s business operates and succeeds
Provide customer support by taking phone orders, addressing inquiries, tracking order status and shipments, and solving customer issues
Assess and recommend products while promoting additional sales to achieve target margins
Conduct product demonstrations for customers using customer insight to drive and guide new offerings
Work closely with and provide sales support to the Outside Sales team
Maintain customer records and files, including accurate account setup and pricing
Perform warehouse duties, moving cylinders for customers as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
2 years of consecutive driving experience or recently received a certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
Valid class A or B CDL required
Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
No alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years
Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
Customer Service or Counter Sales experience required; Industrial setting preferred
Knowledge of welding equipment and supplies preferred
Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 75 pounds
Read and write in English
High School Diploma or GED required
21 years or older
Effective organizational, listening, and communication skills
