Responsibilities
Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs and issues are resolved and developing action plans to correct deficiencies and drive process improvement for a high-quality customer experience. Drives financial performance and sales for the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses; ensures alignment with sales, merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a sense of belonging in the workplace. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, communicating goals and objectives, building accountability, and promoting continuous learning. Ensures compliance with company policies and ethics by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications. 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training may be required. For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings). Preferred Qualifications
