Liberty Kitchen Oysterette, The Audrey & Reel Luxury Cinema, River Oaks Theater, & Star Cinema Grill. We feature fresh, made from scratch plates with an elegant presentation. Job Summary:
A line cook plates dishes and completes basic to advanced food prepping tasks for a restaurant. Their main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas, and making sure the kitchen is stocked. We are looking for dedicated team members who want to grow with an incredible company.
Responsibilities
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Prepare family meal once a week with team members
Stock inventory appropriately
Record inventory per owns station
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Qualifications
Handle fine dining shifts efficiently and effectively
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
Demonstrate proper techniques based around hygiene and grooming expectations
Have an experienced palate and diverse palate
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry’s best practices
Certified in Food Safety
Aptitude for multi - tasking
Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 25 lbs
