Position Overview Mange the distribution, tracking, and maintenance of tools, gages, and equipment. Play a key role in ensuring our production teams have the appropriate resources when needed, supporting efficiency, quality, and safety on the shop floor.
Essential Job Functions
Distribute tools, gages, and equipment to shop personnel in a timely manner
Maintain accurate logs of distributed and returned items
Monitor and manage inventory of tooling, equipment, and supplies utilizing Global Shop
Proactively order supplies to prevent shortages
Keep tool crib clean, organized, and clearly labeled for easy access
Manage consumables items such as cutting fluids, fasteners, and safety gear
Track tool usage and generate reports to assist with cost tracking and accountability
Assist machinists by recommending appropriate tools for specific jobs
Coordinate with production control to ensure timely receipt of supplies
Verify that all tools and equipment meet quality and safety standards
Perform any other duties as directed by immediate supervisor
Requirements
Good communication and organizational skills
Strong Attention to detail and Inventory management skills
Basic knowledge and understanding of tools, equipment, and machining processes a plus
Computer proficiency in MS Office
Knowledge of ERP systems
Basic data analysis skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques
Ability to work effectively with others
Understanding of the Lean Enterprise Tool and principles
